Review on 🐠 Revised: Kucbraly Aqueon Filter Cartridges Large (6 Pack) for Fish Tank Filtration by Kim Allen

I have a few overfilled tanks so I use up the filter cartridges pretty quickly. I was hoping they would work with all of my filters, but actually they only work well with one of them. Although it's my fault for not measuring. They fit the Marineland Penguin filter perfectly, but Silent Streams with the top fin do not. I could force one by bending. They appear to be made from decent quality materials and do seem to catch some particles but I think they clog up pretty quickly. Because they contain carbon, I can't just rinse and reuse over time like I do with most of mine. Once the carbon is depleted and you don't get rid of it, toxins are released back into the water. More frequent filter changes aren't the worst if you have lots of other media for biological bacteria, like sponge filters and substrate. If you don't, you risk interrupting your cycle every time you change the filter cartridge. I don't really care since I have a lot of filters, but it's not that economical. They are generally of good quality and will do the job, but I don't think they are anything special that you can't pick up at a pet store for the same price or less.
