I would like them to indicate the thickness of the metal. I'd consider them fairly light (sheet metal is 24 or 23 ga, not the 20 ga that other drawer slides I'm made of are made of). In addition, a "hard stop" is realized by slightly narrowing the inner end of the slider, which prevents the bearings from fully engaging when fully extended. This causes additional hesitation in what is no longer a solid action. Not a flop, good for the price but not a high quality heavy duty slide either.
