Review on Fit System 80225 Replacement Backing by Christopher Morgan

I have a 2012 Toyota RAV4 and the mirror is identical to the original. The problem is how to attach it to the mechanism. The instructions say to apply slow and steady pressure to the center of the mirror, but after using the lube it won't fall into the center mount. Using a heat gun to heat the fittings and mirror didn't help, I increased the pressure in the center and when it snapped the mirror broke. It looks pretty cool, like a star twinkle, but you can't see anything.
