Review on 🚗 Enhance Performance with Denso 234-4048 Oxygen Sensor: A Reliable Automotive Solution by Mark Bearden

I have a 2001 Toyota RAV4 that should pass state emissions tests. I have already replaced the top A/F sensor (234-9023). I bought it here too. I learned the traffic pattern I needed to get my on-call monitors back. After driving the mile required to reset the monitor, my check engine light came on again. This time there was code P0420. This indicates either a damaged or leaking exhaust manifold/catalyst/tailpipe or a faulty downstream heated O2 sensor (bank 1, sensor 2). Since the cat (not universal) was recently replaced under warranty, I decided to replace the sensor. I bought an Autel OBD2 scanner here for $19. Great investment by the way. I ran the pattern again. Pulled out my new scanner and this time there were no CEL or codes AND my catalyst readiness monitor was set. Ready for government emission tests! This sensor is an exact OEM replacement for Toyota. Bank 1 sensor 2 on my RAV4. I read that Denso makes genuine parts for Toyota. I also read to stay away from Bosch. I also wanted a part that I didn't have to splice or solder. The sensor is delivered in a cardboard box and contains a lubricant. I'm on Revain Prime and the sensor and scanner were delivered the next day. Well! I looked for the best deal and found that locally (Autozone, Advanced, O'Reilly) they tried to charge $100-$150. On the internet the best price was about the same as Revain. I trust Revane and I have Prime. As I have a high mileage car and no tests coming up I think I'll replace the other two sensors when I can. Revain prices can't be beat. While my CEL light was on and giving a P0420 code, I got HORRIBLE gas mileage. Approximately 200 miles to one tank of gas. I assume it was in closed loop mode. Anyway, I'm a happy backpacker!
