Review on Cleaning Scrubbing Bottles Thermos Tumblers by Nathan Hawkins

I've been using OXO bottle brushes for years but they've gotten expensive and the lifespan has gotten shorter. I then tried the OXO Revain Basics version which looked almost identical but didn't even last as long as OXO, so many other brands I tried had stiff bristles that didn't touch the entire surface. I don't want to throw brushes in the trash every three weeks. This one looked promising, I really like the brush head itself. It's soft enough to fully clean surfaces, it's not a hard bristle that leaves dirt streaks, love that, this brush really cleans better than any other I've tried and I'm old and tried a lot! I don't like the hole above the brush head where you can see the straw brush that fits into the handle and screws onto the top. To me it's just a bacteria collector, all sorts of nasty things linger between the straw branches in that hole, pretty scary. I ended up just cutting the straw brush flush with the handle and screwing it back in without the brush inserted, which helped keep particles from collecting in the hole, but it still bothers me. Another issue is durability. I've only been using this for a week and as you can see the end of this brush is already looking worn and splayed. No idea how long it will last, that remains to be seen. Despite these issues I still love this brush, it outperforms all others I've used so I checked out their other brushes and was thrilled to see one with the same one. Head but more durable, thinner handle that is a bit flexible! It has a short nipple brush at the top of the handle but the rest of the shaft is solid, perfect! I liked this brush so much that I ordered two sets of three and they were significantly cheaper than this one with the straw brush. I prefer the fixed grip option as I feel it is more hygienic. I just hope they last a while. I'll try some of her other brushes too, I see there's a solid blue head I'll have to try next time.
