Review on Torin T42002A Big Red Steel Jack Stands: Double Locking, 2 Ton Capacity, Red - 1 Pair by Aaron Stewart

Gave me confidence putting my neck under the car

Worked like a charm supporting each axle on my BMW E46 3 Series while changing brakes. Safety wasn't an issue for the most part as you didn't have to crawl under the car to change brakes at all. But for the rear right brake wear sensor you have to stick your head under the right passenger door. The sensor has a long cable that runs through a hanger with multiple clips holding it in place. It's a little scary poking your head under a heavy metal object, but with stands that hold it, I was almost not scared. One word of advice, remember that to use these stands on many vehicles you will not be able to jack up the vehicle with the jack provided as on many vehicles there are only two points on each side of the vehicle where you can jack up the car . And when you jack your car up, you don't have space to put your car on jack stands. To raise the car on stands you need something like a dolly to raise the entire rear or front of the car. My car has frame mounts right next to the front and rear differentials (my car is AWD). Place a jack under each of them, raise and lower onto the stands. Store the jack under the frame mounts for extra security in case something happens.
