I took it out of the box and put it on when I arrived. I panicked thinking they were too tight. Since the top is canvas, I gave them about an hour or two to walk around the house. They have good stretch and are not too tight. If it helps, I'm a men's size 11 and have slightly wider feet than most. They fit well after I've worn them for a few hours and the canvas has loosened a bit. I wore them on a fishing trip and ended up getting wet. During the day, they dried quickly in the sun (and kept their shape). If you get wet feet often and want something more structured than crocs, flip flops or water shoes, this is a great option. Highly recommended.
