Almost exactly nine months after purchase and installation, you may want to reconsider this product. The installation itself is typical, with the cameras installed outside and connected wirelessly to a small monitor provided. A monitor is something that connects directly to the internet. At first it seemed to work fine, but then I found that one of the cameras was constantly flashing a floodlight, meaning it saw movement and started recording, causing the monitor to turn on automatically. So I tweaked the settings in a variety of ways, but nothing worked. I even took it off, put it in a darkened closet, and sure enough it would turn on every five seconds and record absolutely nothing. So I contacted tech support and they were quick and helpful and sent a new camera that seemed to work fine for eight months. Now it's started again, and the camera turns on every five seconds, motion or no motion. The supplied monitor is very basic and needs updating, although it is touch sensitive it does not always respond well to the finger and needs a better interface. The app he uses for his smartphone causes massive damage. It's archaic and outdated and badly in need of an update. Trying to view the latest motion capture is usually useless, the video is choppy and often not even visible. I do not recommend this and will try another video surveillance system.
