Quiet Thunder in Performance Parts & Accessories

I bought two of these Magnaflow (#10415) to use on the rear of my 1966 Thunderbird Q-Code (428cid) to create a complete exhaust system using the original exhaust headers build ( no headings). I gave them to my local muffler shop. This T-Bird model usually has four mufflers - resonators in the front and round 6.5-inch mufflers in the rear. I also used oval Maganaflow mufflers up front for fear of making the car too loud. Result? The car is quieter than the original. A half rusted 25 year old Midas exhaust is coming loose. Part of the reason the exhaust was made was to give the car that classic rumble. It had a subsonic rumble but no volume. Front oval Magnaflows. Now the car sounds great, and even though it only has one of those mufflers on each of the twin pipes, it's not loud. I'm amazed at how much sound these little 4 inch straight bore mufflers muffle. . They are not at all like the double-glazed windows of yesteryear. Very well constructed. The welds are impressive. The sound is impressive. Revain's price is impressive. All the bases are covered.
