I use it on a full frame sensor. I really like the lens. He showed himself beautifully on completely different subjects - he shot a wedding, various reports and portraits. Don't believe those who say that it's not comme il faut to shoot portraits at a wide angle - the whole question is how to do it :) They are especially excellent for a wide-angle lens (not head ones, of course :)). Rostovye are generally beyond praise, fashion. Beautiful in subject matter, I think lovers of still lifes will like it. In general, wherever it is necessary for the "background" to work. (More details about why it is suitable for these plots - I wrote in the "merits". ) Everything that can be attributed to the landscape (spaces, architectural objects) seems to convey well too, but it's hard for me to evaluate here - this is not my genre, I judge only indirectly. The resolution for landscapes, I think, will still not be up to par, unless you are an impressionist)) A hood is not provided in the kit . Although so far I havenโt experienced any particular need for it: the lens holds backlight and illumination from the side of small-area sources, in principle, not bad, with uniform frontal illumination (for example, a figure against the background of a wide window), the contrast, of course, drops a lot (but even a lens hood will not help here), but the colors are not distorted and the picture as a whole does not deteriorate, it remains plastic - you can use it to create the appropriate artistic effect. The only thing is that sometimes you want more sharpness (although this does not apply to portraits, it is just enough here), especially since Canon simply does not have other such wonderful lenses with a focal length of 28mm, it is not included in the L-series 28mm. 35mm L in terms of the plasticity of the picture is completely uncomplicated - corny sharp, and nothing more. 24mm L, despite the remarkable sharpness and pattern, is no longer so universal in terms of focal length (although it would seem that there is a difference of 4 mm . ). In my opinion, the most versatile wide-angle is just 28mm: the proportions are not yet strongly distorted, as at 24mm, and the expressive wide-angle effect is already starting to work (unlike 35mm).
