The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

Excellent width. Gives a beautiful colorful picture. Very fast thanks to the USM motor. Aperture is enough for shooting in dark rooms without a flash. It is very pleasant to use, the workmanship is adequate. It fully justifies its price. Its pros: Small and light, fast, fast aperture, 58mm filters, front element does not rotate, interesting bokeh not typical for widths, short focusing distance (pseudo macro) Different cons: The geometry is not ideal and can limp a little on the open. But this…

I bought it to replace kenon 28 2.8. Aperture 1.8 decides. Here is my review andcomparison: . Ua/index. Php/kto-kogo-canon-28mm-f2-8-vs-canon-28mm-f1-8-usm/ Different pros: Very convenient focal length in full frame. Lightweight, light, relatively inexpensive. Extremely convenient for travel or reporting. Cons below: At aperture 1.8, it lathers very strongly. Since 2.0 it's sharp. Sharpness is generally good, but not stunning.

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

Has some pros: Lightweight, fast, no noise, build quality, material Comfortable focal length range even on crop. Has cons: No hood included. I bought from the Chinese for $ 3. For me, it would be even cheaper than a thousand by 3-4, it was generally super.

The price/quality ratio is great, I will buy again.

Got pros: Aperture, wide angle. Useful on both FF and crop. In fact, an analogue of 35 / 1.4. The picture also gives a great one. Filter diameter - 58 mm is very common and these filters are inexpensive. Has some cons: In St. Petersburg it is very difficult to find for a normal price .

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I bought it a few months ago specifically for a future vacation, and ofcomurse I immediately began to actively shoot. Examples of photos in my album what can I say after use. His sharpness is quite "soft" whencompared with 70-200, then none at all. Elka is sharp even sometimes too much. But this one is more "feminine" or something. You don't have to work as hard on the skin, which is definitely a plus. Quite decently draws a person in height and to the waist. Larger angles, which is naturally…

Pros
  • Quality made. There are no backlashes. The USM motor is, as expected, fast and quiet. Does not dust. Lightweight and compact.
Cons
  • Chromatic aberrations are observed. There is no hood in the kit and it is extremely difficult to find it.

The perfect product for any user!

I use it on a full frame sensor. I really like the lens. He showed himself beautifully on completely different subjects - he shot a wedding, various reports and portraits. Don't believe those who say that it's not comme il faut to shoot portraits at a wide angle - the whole question is how to do it :) They are especially excellent for a wide-angle lens (not head ones, of course :)). Rostovye are generally beyond praise, fashion. Beautiful in subject matter, I think lovers of still lifes will…

Pros
  • In general, the lens is a "must have" in the line of optics, even though it is not L. And here's why: 1) Blur! It's bokeh :) Very smooth, I would even say gentle, plastic, with a soft transition to the sharpness zone; 2) it is very pronounced on the most open bokeh, some don’t even believe that it was shot with a wide-angle :)) Very voluminous (although at aperture 2 and 2.8 it is less sharp, but at 4 and 5.6 for most scenes the sharpness is good, while the plasticity of the pattern is preserved). When shooting dynamic reports, the effect is generally amazing. The main thing is to get into the zone of depth of field)) Here are acomuple of examples thatcomnfirm these advantages: . Flickr.Com/6236/6327288858_bbb55f6cb6_b. Jpg jpg . Flickr.Com/6234/6327263142_e7c18fe5a7_b. Jpg 3) Excellentcomntrast. 4) The minimum focusing distance allows you to shoot from a very close distance (for such a focal length it's almost macro :)) 5) Good design, high-quality assembly, usm motor, internal focusing. In general, it justifies its price even by 120% :) The artistic potential is very high.
Cons
  • 1) Resolution - I would like more sharpness, however, as always :) Although for most scenes the sharpness is quite sufficient (i. E. normal, not too low - even the best of non-L lenses is possible, just not "ringing"). . "soap" - still not about this lens :) On the other hand, it draws all sorts of chrome-plated little things and glare very beautifully - a certain softness is just needed here (by the way, yes - it’s also very cool to shoot concerts with them! ). For the same reason, it’s also good for shooting people (especially if you still correctly use sharpening in a RAW converter - the lens has a good potential for sharpening, especially on a 21 MP matrix in 5D mark2 - primarily because of the good clarity of 28 / 1.8 ). 2) The front lens, despite its relatively small diameter, noticeably collects dust (apparently, electrostatically), fingerprints and easily gets smudged by everyone, especially with frequent lens changes, even with quite careful handling - sometimes you wonder how it got there at all -something to arise. As far as this "flaw" - decide for yourself. I personally always wear a rag with me for wiping :) 3) Vignetting and HA - the disadvantage of 28 / 1.8 is very slight. Vignetting occurs at an open aperture, but it is not some kind of prohibitive, standard for wide-angles, it is easily corrected in the converter or by the camera when turned on, respectively. options. I did not notice any critical chromatic aberrations (especially compared to some L-series lenses)) - there are very few on open apertures - it is also easily eliminated in the RAW converter. 4) The diaphragm is not 9-bladed, it draws nuts, although not very pronounced. On the other hand, the number of aperture blades is one of the factors that shape the nature of bokeh: one can only wonder why it is not 9-blade - marketing or "as intended"; ) 5) No lens hood included.

The quality is ok on the whole, it has some small flaws.

Soapy and unfocused at 1.8 on today's technology. As a shirik, I ingested it, but it didn't do much. and will be valued almost $20,000 in the year 2022. As a result, I sold and bought a sharp 40 2.8. No, now is not the time to buy it.

Pros
  • Aperture
Cons
  • The secondary market price is excessive and wholly unreasonable because it is soapy.

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

The maximum possible rating for this lens is five stars. In terms of value for money (Elks are far more expensive than other animals), it is the best option in the 20-30 mm size range. In favor are: 1) Superb color accuracy; you'll notice the difference while using a zoom lens (only Elks can compete, but they also have a corresponding price). 2) The lens is noticeably sharper than the Canon EF 50 f/1.4 USM (with the same aperture) and is nearly as good as it gets. 2) Many aperture blades for a…

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

For your money, a lens. There was a back focus, but now everything is in order once I adjusted the Mark III to 15 divisions. There aren't enough L-colors, but the computer has already freely fixed this. It displayed itself quite effectively in dimly lit spaces, active settings, and with a flash. A strong four With its benefits, including compactness, sharpness, and an aperture ratio of 1.8, all of these are key considerations. I use both crop and full-screen, and full-screen is sufficient for…

A good and high-quality product, but there are disadvantages.

Has pros: Aperture is a definite plus, fast autofocus and beautiful bokeh. Has some cons: On my copy, the focus ring plays a little - a trifle but unpleasant. A little chromate on an open aperture. Also, at an open aperture, there is not enough sharpness (in my opinion).
