Review on Filter AQUAEL Ultramax 2000 by Mateusz Morawski ᠌

A little disappointed, a bad purchase.

For an aquarium with a volume of 300 liters, that’s it, BUT: 1) Bank collected just disgusting. After launch, a whole network of leaks immediately formed. At the cost of dancing with tambourines and someone's mother, we managed to find the reason - the prefilter gasket was installed with a slight offset, which is impossible to visually control. 2) Extremely stubborn design of water intake and outlet - oak hoses, which are almost impossible to bend in the right direction; a huge bending radius of the U-shaped pipes connecting the hoses and the flutes themselves, which leads to the fact that it is impossible to install on complete suction cups (they stupidly do not reach the wall). On the 2nd photo you can see how clumsily the intake and release flutes were installed. Conclusion: First of all, with our own handles, we check whether the gaskets are installed correctly. Secondly, we stock up on other hoses that can somehow be bent. The third step is to buy a set of flutes that can be fixed on the walls of the aquarium. As a result: the only plus is the power of the filter itself and the presence of a prefilter. The downsides are build quality and homeless components. Who is not too lazy to modify - take it, because the prefilter and power are on top. Who wants a turnkey filter - run as far as possible and look at externals from Tetra.

Pros
  • Power and presence of a prefilter
Cons
  • Build quality and convenience of components
