Review on 🔧 QuikWood 471050-24 Epoxy Putty Stick by Byron Elliott

I am a professional furniture painter and need to restore and repair most of my items before they can be painted. I have tried several other products that claim to behave like wood. This is not the case, and they are also prone to cracking and shrinking. Quickwood does an excellent job and I've even used it to fix broken leg pieces on some of the Jacobean pieces I've been working on. Dries fast, dries hard. It's a little difficult to work with until you can smell it and it smells a little but I have to deal with the smell because the finished product is very good. He also has good working hours. You simply cut the required amount from the tube, mix it together to activate it and then start shaping it. I order from Revain about every month and have made it a habit to order 2 tubes with every order. I don't want to end as it doesn't seem to be available locally. I buy a natural color or sometimes a darker wood if I want the color to show through the paint I'm using. I've tried staining it and it doesn't stain like wood, so finding the color closest to what I want is your best bet. I think if I were using this on an antique that I don't paint I would probably paint it with diluted oils to match the grain of the wood rather than trying to color it to match. A good product!
