Properly aligns the case screws.
This is the only universal mounting rail I have found that allows the fixture mounting screws to be set at a 90 degree angle from the stud mounting screws. I just fixed a long LED tube light firmly to the ceiling of my wife's workshop. I also used it to mount the fixtures in the bathroom.
