I bought this wood contact paper to cover a particle board desk that had a small patch of water damage. I sanded the desk first then applied this contact paper. I was concerned about the thinness of the product initially, but was happily surprised with the sturdiness of it. I suggest peeling back a small portion and lay it on your surface then rolling the paper backing off as you smooth with your hands. My desk had a curved edge so I cut the paper longer than my desk then used an exacto knife to trim around the curved edge. The product easily removed as needed for adjustments as I installed it. The desk looks better today than the day I bought it. Very happy with the product and the money I saved not having to purchase a new desk.
