Review on Parker 98R Ultra Heavy Weight Long Handle Double Edge Safety Razor & 5 Blades: Superior Quality for a Flawless Shave by Heidi Thompson

Great long handle. Get ADJUSTABLE if you are new.

Female review: TLDR: Surprisingly long handle but quite aggressive. Get an ADJUSTABLE razor like the Qshave or the Long Handled Merkur if you're a beginner. Has a lot of weight and a wonderful LONG grip! The recesses on the handle are very comfortable to grip; much better than my jagger. This Parker is suitable for more experienced razors. Good armpit shave. To relate Parker's aggressiveness to the adjustable tip system of the razors mentioned below, Parker shaves like a 6 or 7. I find 6/7 perfect for the softer/meatier parts of my legs but irritates me on my shins, knees, and ankles, which make up almost half of my leg! (For these areas I cut my adjustable razors down to 2/3)! Since I'm still a bit of a safety razor, I've now switched to the adjustable Qshave and the adjustable Merkur long handle. Qshave ($16) is great for beginners. I bought an adjustable marker ($65; MK-510001) because the head rotates a bit on the Qshave. Merkur is new but looks great. Another benefit of the Qshave is that its top looks more like a "cap" so there are no razor sharp corners protruding from the sides of the razor. As far as I know, Qshave is the only such shaver.
