Much easier than using chemicals. I sprayed weed killer two weeks before receiving it and the weeds were still there. We had to clear the area to get the house ready for painting and it took too long with the chemicals. As soon as it arrived I ran to the store to get a propane bottle so I could get started. From the moment you light it up and pull the trigger, you know it's going to get the job done. Of course, where there's smoke there's fire, so it must be used with absolute caution, which is why I had a garden hose behind my back. when some weeds rested against a wooden fence. Regardless, it was plug and play, and best of all, it saved so much time as it turns weeds to ash and minimizes leftover debris. It definitely exceeded expectations, would recommend without hesitation.
