These open top thimbles work great!
Open top thimbles work great. It took me a while to find them, but they are exactly what I need for my purpose. I use them to hand sew blankets and put them on one of my middle fingers. I like the open end so it doesn't touch my nail. I also want the dimples on the sides, not the end of the thimble so I can push the needle through the fabric with my side finger. This is the natural position of the finger when sewing hands.
