Review on IN WIN 301: High-Performance White Tempered Glass Micro-ATX Mini-ITX Tower for Gaming Enthusiasts by Dale Toth

Current system: i7-4771EVGA 1060 6GB SSC16GB DDR3-1600Win7+ Tiny but STRONG. It's made almost entirely of steel, and when fully equipped with all 5 fans, it weighs more than most of the bulkier medium towers I've come across. + Clean, understated look. There's a slight red tinge to the logo inlay and around the front panel ports, but it doesn't look like it's spitting out rainbow sorbet. 24/7+ tempered glass screen with quick release. I'm very inconsistent with my computer; It's always a "work in progress" so I spend a lot of time inside just with cables and fan placement and whatnot. It's nice that you don't have to fiddle with a dozen thumbscrews just to open it.+ Airflow is way better than it should be. I don't know how but right now my temp is 24C and 28C for my CPU and GPU respectively using only air cooling. In torture tests on my GPU at the most stable overclock, it never gets above 65C. - Cable storage is pretty good, but *cable management* is bullshit. No bindings or clippings or well-defined routing paths. I ended up tucking the cables into the power supply bay and running everything from there. There's a deceptively large amount of free space, especially with a modular power supply. Very small cable spacing for the hard disk sled. Good thing I have some angled SATA data cables laying around. No case fans. Seems odd having to cut back in an attempt to enter the budget space. Add to that the price of 3-5 decent case fans ($8 for the cheapest 120mm Prime Fit fan I'd recommend) and it doesn't look like a budget case anymore. Front USB ports are 3.0 only. I had to buy a $5 USB 3.0 male to USB 2.0 female adapter cable since my 3 year old budget motherboard doesn't have a 20 pin USB 3.0 connector. I love this case, but I wouldn't recommend it first. Time builder or someone on a tight budget. Poor cable management can be frustrating, and having to buy each case fan individually makes the final price too high. For those looking to migrate their system to a new chassis to scale down and/or as part of a major system upgrade, this is fantastic.
