I rated 'warm' but have no idea what that term means here. It is very convenient to have a thermometer that shows the temperature range from low to high. The trimmers damaged the main power line a few miles away and all power at my cabin was lost. 3 hours later the power came back. Hooray! Looking at my new electronic thermometer, I saw that the maximum temperature it had reached was 41 degrees Fahrenheit. This reading helped me with the certainty that all foods were still edible. The device in the freezer indicated that the maximum temperature was 35 degrees Fahrenheit and since everything inside was still heavily frozen, everything was fine. If the power goes out while I'm away and when I come back the power comes back on, the flashing clock on the stove tells me I'm out of power and the high temp gauge is checked. When I see that room temperature has been reached, I will attempt to determine the duration of the shutdown to make a food safety assumption. High-low temperature readings can also indicate a possible faulty refrigerator. My new fridge is still under warranty so these thermometers can be useful to determine if the factory needs to send a repairwoman. Or a human. Bigfoot might show up and if they can fix the fridge I'll be happy.
