Huge screen outperforms 65 " OLED + Dolby Vision

This is my first projector. I used to use a 65 inch LG C8 OLED TV in my home theater. Dolby Vision on the TV prevented me from changing the setting and using the projector. After switching to a 100 inch screen, I can never go back. No matter how beautiful blacks and Dolby Vision HDR are on a TV, the huge screen beats them every time. My theater has white popcorn ceilings and light gray walls. I thought my room wasn't dark enough and made the mistake of choosing the Gray Matte Screen from the Silver Ticket as it had some ambient light blocking properties. This gray screen gave me red spots with dull colors. I switched to a Silver Ticket matte white screen, pristine and with more vibrant colors. Black from a white screen was fine in my raw room. I have no ambient light when viewing, other than light reflecting off the projector onto the walls. I've seen several instances of gray screen rainbow artifacts. Just 3 seconds out of a 2 hour movie. I've never seen a rainbow on a white screen. Cons: Using a completely silent TV, this projector has a low noise level. You will hear it at points where the film is silent. It takes some time to get used to. Pros: Huge screen. Nice pic. It looks like a 4k LCD TV. Laser light without dimming. With incandescent bulbs, the light gradually dims every time you look at it. Wide customization options. I have this projector on a shelf 5.6 feet off the floor and 9.5 feet away. All in all, this projector is worth the money. on PCM instead of car. I also see that Netflix is now available. Upgrade my rating to 5 stars.

Pros
  • 97% DCI-P3 with dual laser
Cons
  • I'll be silent
