Review on Ultralight Trekking Pole Anti-Shock Aluminum Alloy Quick Lock Telescopic Walking Stick Adjustable Cane Crutch With Cork Grips & Tungsten Tips For Mountains Hiking And Trekking by Emanuel Guffey

Flimsy, Not Suitable as a Cane

I bought this "walking stick" because I needed a telescoping cane that I could collapse when flying and expand before getting off the plane. It does not work for that purpose. Although it is telescopic, each segment has to be locked in place, so it cannot be quickly expanded and collapsed. The pole is also not very strong, half the width of a typical cane, and the foot is tiny. It might work for hiking, maybe, but not as a cane.On the other hand, it is relatively inexpensive. It is also thin enough that I can use it to reach under furniture to periodically retrieve the cat toys that the cats have lost there. I found a half dozen missing toy mice.

Pros
  • The trekking pole folds up small enough to fit in a carry-on.
Cons
  • May not hold up to daily use over extended periods
