Engine design forced GM to invent this ridiculous gasket. The most reliable V-6 GM ever (3.8 liters) with oil pan and intake manifold gaskets that cannot seal properly for long periods of time. It was once replaced with a similar GM seal, but the design tends to be flawed. YOU MUST use a reputable RTV Gasket silicone sealant during installation on all metal surfaces and/or on the gasket itself or I promise you it will leak again in the future. The small rubber gasket built into the hard plastic case is obviously flattening out and not creating enough pressure between the sump and engine block to prevent oil dripping from the crankshaft at high rpm from leaking between the gasket and engine block. . Full RTV, baby, and you'll never have to touch it again. The five stainless steel bolts that attach the engine mount to the engine block are very difficult to remove and replace. Just need patience, lots of patience, take your time. Use the engine bar above the engine to hold the engine "up".
