First let me tell you why I had to replace my side mirror. My 19 year old daughter was hit by a crack addict who gave her false information. Her phone was off at the time, and she seems to have forgotten that she can call 911 even when you're offline. Anyway, the guy gave her fake insurance details and a phone number, but she took a picture of his right hand. She was able to track him down through good old Facebook, but that's how we found out he was a drug addict and had no insurance. So I filed a complaint with the police (don't know what's the point if the perpetrator doesn't have insurance). Which I was pretty much informed about to file a claim with my insurance. So to avoid making a claim with my insurance company and possibly renting my insurance out when it already is, I decided to fix the mirror myself. I had been driving for about 2 weeks and had put aside the cash costs the garage charged when a friend of mine suggested I order a mirror from Amazon and do it myself. Removing my original mirror was a hassle, but once I did that, adding a new mirror was a breeze. It also matched my car and other mirrors perfectly!
