Old mirrors sagged and I hated them for years. They install in five minutes and are ready to use almost immediately. I really shouldn't have waited. The jeep looks great too.

So I have a 1994 Jeep Wrangler YJ and it's a direct OEM replacement. The best part is that the mirrors are FIXED where the mirror and hand are. That's a great thing because it doesn't move, which was a problem with the OEM versions. You can make the part that attaches to the door wider or shorter. The mirror is adjustable, which means you adjust the actual glass in the frame and move the frame to adjust the mirror.

First the packaging was toasted. Broken on three sides, I was sure the mirrors would be destroyed. Luckily I found two mirrors that were completely intact and damn strong. They installed them on both sides of my '99 TJ in less than five minutes. The old mirrors tried hard, but the oxidation in them was so bad that I couldn't adjust them. Came with decent screws with a huge Phillips head. A very happy customer.

I bought these mirrors to replace my 1998 OEM TJ mirrors which had a terrible problem with the ball joints loosening when folded in winds over 60mph. At first I was impressed by the sturdy plastic construction. I bought them in February 2020 and only wore them a week ago. When I first folded them (they are spring loaded) the right one just flopped. I immediately removed the bottom cover and found that the compression nut and spring had just popped out. Very nice mirrors. I actually used them on my '88 YJ Wrangler and they are a nice improvement on the original design. They are attached to door hinges. Whether you have half doors or full doors, as long as your hinges are drilled for mirrors, they will fit. And the hole pattern on the TJ is the same as on the YJ. Part of Me I want to give these mirrors 10 stars because in a very important way they are so superior to the OEM's that were supplied to Jeep. It's not a direct replacement, not a major problem, and nothing that an hour in the garage with a drill and caulking wouldn't solve. You are so stable! I have a 1999 Wrangler with half doors. Each time the door was opened and closed, the standard mirrors would move out of position, and hitting hard bumps would move them as well. With the top down it wasn't a big problem as it's easy to look around and see other cars. However, when the top is down, the mirrors improve visibility.
