Review on UGREEN USB 3.0 Switch Selector: 4 Port 2 Computer Peripheral Switcher for PC Printer Scanner Mouse Keyboard with One Button Switch and 2 Pack USB Male Cable by Frank Tyrance

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Input 1 turns off/on every 5 seconds

***Update***If despite the reviews you still want to buy this product, here is some information UGREEN is too lazy to give you to give because you don't care about your customers. Power Supply: The manual, box, device, or Revain page does NOT state what the power supply should be rated for. I found on their website that you can use a 5V/2A MAX power supply. So check the information on your adapter and make sure the output shows 5V/2A or less Amps (A). Do you need a power adapter? It depends on how much power the devices connected to it consume. Look at the detail sticker on your devices and it will tell you what the input power should be. The USB 3 port output current is approximately 900mA (0.9A). If the devices exceed the rated power, please connect an external power supply which is strong enough for the devices (Max 5V/2A). Random disconnect/reconnect (power on/off): Don't switch input if one of the computers is currently off. If you switch to input and then turn on the computer, it will start disconnecting/reconnecting until you disconnect the two computers and the AC adapter to restart it.------------- ------------------------------------------------- -- ------------- I ordered this device so I can switch between my home and work computer. I have connected a Corsair K55 keyboard (5V/0.5A input) and a Logitech G Powerplay (5V/0.5A input). I also connected a 5V/2A power supply to the device (the UGREENS website says Power Supply 5V/2A Max). When the power supply is connected, input 1 cycles off and on every 5 seconds, input 2 is unaffected. I thought it might be the adapter I was using so I replaced it with another 5V/1A adapter and it does the same thing. I also tried a different USB cable but that didn't change anything. Switch the computers so that the device in Input 1 is in Input 2 and the other device in Input 1 is moved, but Input 1 is still cycled off and on every 5 seconds. So at the moment I'm using the device without an external power supply, but I'm not sure if this overloads the USB port on my computer. With the AC adapter plugged in, my keyboard and other devices don't get power when I switch devices, so I lose all of my macro keys that were programmed into the keyboard. Right now I'm a bit stuck because this whole device is connected to my computers and I can't just unplug everything to get the device back! For the price of this USB switch, a dedicated power supply should be included. Device, especially from a company whose main products are power supplies! I also don't understand why the body of the device is made of smooth plastic when you have to touch it with your fingers. A matte finish would look way better than a glossy device with a bunch of fingerprints around the switch button. I see (NOW) other reviews of people having the same issue as me, so QC would have to be extremely low in UGREEN for this to be a multi-device issue. Now I have to spend another hour after work unpacking all my cables so I can send the product back because I was confident that the $36.54 device would go through a quality check before shipping to customers!
