I needed a digital I/O KVM to replace an old VGA KVM switch. I connect many different devices for IT setup and troubleshooting, each with different inputs and permissions. This little block was great. It doesn't use emulation, which means switching inputs is a bit slower than others I've used. However, sometimes the emulation can cause screen resolution discrepancies when switching inputs while devices are booting up, so I'd happily sacrifice a few seconds in favor of reliable and predictable screen output. Also, unlike many devices in this price range, this KVM has automatic input switching, which is useful when monitoring the progress of multiple installations.
