Terrible defect!
The lamp was beautiful and I was initially very pleased with the size and warmth. Two days after I installed it, my one year old stood under the lamp and the glass around the lamp fell and shattered onto the ground around him. I checked the fixture to make sure I hadn't screwed the bulb all the way in, but the real bulb and filament were still attached. The decorative glass around it just ripped off and came off cleanly, as if soldering or gluing hadn't worked. Luckily my son wasn't hurt but it was a scary moment and an unacceptable setback. I'm too scared to put in a second bulb so I need to find a better brand to replace it with.
