I just got this box to replace my aging Roku box, but there are some ups and downs. On the plus side, there's a standard remote and an unusual mini keyboard controller that's essentially an integrated mouse pad and computer keyboard. Another plus is access to the Google Play Store. The user interface is fairly easy to navigate around the screen as the icons are large and easy to read. Now for the cons. The biggest problem is the inability to update the Netflix app on the Google Play Store. In short, the app installed on this particular device is a much older app and is not working properly. I uninstalled and figured I could reinstall, but not to the bone. It turns out that this Netflix app cannot be installed on a rooted device like this one. Damn. Surprisingly, all other video apps work just fine. Another negative, scrolling on the mini keyboard is frantic at best! Too sensitive! A light touch scrolls about 3 pages of content on many screens in apps. Again, the Netflix app almost gets in my way, but I save it for my other TV downstairs. One more thing, it has plenty of inputs for almost any media you might want to connect (HDMI out, USB 2 and 3 in) so it's not bad. Also handles the most popular video and music file formats, so it streams them.
