I picked up a wide-angle staffer for crop, considered many options and settled on this lens. In fact, it has no alternatives with similar quality in its price. I’ve been shooting for him for a long time and I have revealed all his strengths and weaknesses on myself. This lens is most suitable for reportage shooting, tourism. This is facilitated by fast autofocus and dust and moisture protection. Shooting indoors is very bad due to soapy apertures of 4 and 4.5 and the lack of a stub. As an alternative, it can be considered, perhaps, canon ef-s 17-55 / 2,8 but it is significantly more expensive.

excellent L lens, I use it as a standard lens on 50D, I have no complaints. advice one do not buy cheap analogues.
