Poor quality Chinese made plastic breaks easily

I encounter two of these a year - but - we exercise a lot and the jeep hatch opens 3-4 times a day. More on the weekend. The plastic tab on the lifter handle is poor plastic, it breaks, breaks a lot, breaks great in cold weather, guaranteed to break if below zero. So much so that I installed an emergency "rip cord” release on the jeep's door and then removed the interior cover. So I designed a brass shell and then super glued it for reinforcement. So the little bolt that opens the lock slips - and it doesn't work. Counting.
