Do not use outside when it is cold! I installed this on my outside staircase in November. It was great for traction on my stairs until the weather turned cold. It took two days. Day one: Three apps out of fifteen started to unravel. I thought ok that could be me, maybe there was some dirt underneath when I applied it. But. Day Two: Not only did more loosen up, but those that got stuck lost ALL of their grip. The sand had torn the tape off, leaving a slick, shiny ribbon of plastic on my stair that posed a greater hazard than a bare stair. Random salt gets inside. I only bought them to cut to the length I needed and expected them to last at least a season. No, two days. I would NOT recommend this product. VERY unhappy I wasted $30 (I bought two).
