Type of review

I repainted my RV footpegs which were starting to look a bit rusty. I just sanded them down and removed the rust with sandpaper and a wire brush. Then I painted the steps with spray paint, which worked great. I used a Gator Grip self-adhesive strip as an anti-slip coating. It is just as rough as the original and helps make the step more secure. However. I do not recommend using it on lengths over 12 inches as the tape will expand when heated and tend to form a lifting bubble. So if you're going

NOT for outdoor use as intended! At least just below zero.

Do not use outside when it is cold! I installed this on my outside staircase in November. It was great for traction on my stairs until the weather turned cold. It took two days. Day one: Three apps out of fifteen started to unravel. I thought ok that could be me, maybe there was some dirt underneath when I applied it. But. Day Two: Not only did more loosen up, but those that got stuck lost ALL of their grip. The sand had torn the tape off, leaving a slick, shiny ribbon of plastic on my stair…

Adhesion is excellent, adhesion is useless

Adhesion to the surface of the product is excellent. This part should take some time. It was easy to cut to length with scissors. The problem is sticking to the intended surface that you want to make non-slip. In my application, I applied stripes to a painted sheet of plywood. I built an indoor wheelchair ramp from a garage to a neighbor's house. When I lowered the 3rd bar, the 1st bar was already loose at the edges. I only applied 16 strips that day, and the next morning all but 4 matched. I…
