Review on Cordiant Snow Cross 195/65 R15 91T winter by Ognian Hristov ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good balance of price/quality, recommend it.

The winter set of tires is also from Cordiant, as well as the summer one. It’s autumn 2022 and exactly 5 years since the purchase of Snow Cross PW-2 (that’s what they were called then), in 2022 they were finalized after massive complaints about flat wheels from under the spikes. Before operation, I ran in for two weeks, in frost without snow. - lost 1 spike in 5 (five! ) winters. Riding clean city, water, ice, little snow, daily. - nothing poisons from under the spikes. (pah-pah-pah) - the softness of the tread after 5 years is not store-like, but sufficient. - really do not like handling on wet porridge! she's gone! I lowered the overall rating only because of unsatisfactory control on snowy wet porridge (the tire size is factory, I didn’t put anything wider, but it blows my ass). Paid for itself in 5 seasons. For those who have winters with snow "on the mirror", it's probably better to look at Snow Cross 2.

Pros
  • 1. Tenacity on ice and packed snow. 2. Price. 3. Durability of spikes. 4. Availability in any store. 5. Sufficient softness of the rubber compound. 6. Noise? The first year is possible. For the next few years, I never focused on it at all.
Cons
  • 1. It absolutely does not digest wet porridge, an unloaded axle easily goes into cross-slip, they float, at intersections that are not cleaned of wet snow they can create an emergency (turn in the wrong lane, skid when not necessary, wave backwards along the rows). With normal snow, there are no such problems.
