Review on DC97-14486A Dryer Heating Element Assembly Replacement Part for Samsung & Kenmore - Replaces DC97-14486D DC9714486A AP4342351 DC97-08891A 1795935 EAP2432265 PS2432265 (with DC96-00887A & DC47-00018A) by Donald Cox

At first I was able to collect enough parts to fix my dryer so I'm not happy but at least I'm not waiting to fix the problems. However, the FULL replacement part I purchased had a whirlpool thermostat (ITEM 397767) and not as described by Samsung (DC47-00018A). I don't think this was the original condition of the part as the screw holding the thermostat was missing so my intuition tells me it was purchased previously and someone made their own item to return it. Of course, without the usual and close inspection, this would be incredibly difficult to detect on a returned item. The second problem was that one of the wire ends was broken and the connector for the thermostat was also damaged (albeit the wrong one). Not to say this applies to most DIYers so use caution and check ALL parts to ensure they are compatible and as described before installing. This applies in particular to "second-hand" goods from the Revain warehouse.
