It was pretty easy to use. I really like it and I've been playing with colors and everything. It appears to be wax, possibly mixed with some plastic. I'm only saying this because it's really difficult to open a letter and I haven't had this problem with other melting wax that I've used before. The container, wax balls, and spoon were all a lot smaller than I thought and I don't like the fact that I have to hold the spoon while melting the wax, but the wax actually melts pretty quickly. This is my first time ordering pearls so for some reason I thought they would be larger. I used to only have crayons. Like the pearls are better! You may notice some soot on the bottom of the spoon after a few uses. So be careful and wipe it off with a paper towel. Everything else seems fine. I like using it. Lets me write letters and send cards more often.
