For months I have been trying to figure out how to get my Old Town Sportsman 106 PDL off the ground and out of the way when not in use. I have used pulley systems but could not get them high enough to clear my truck. I used T-brackets on the ceiling and they weren't strong enough, but they work great for my small side kayaks. All the J hooks I found couldn't support the weight of this kayak. I found her and could be happier. They are very durable, the padding really helps keep the kayak from getting scratched and the straps give you peace of mind. However, fasteners are garbage. I have no idea why anyone hung this with drywall anchors. Buy good anchor bolts at the hardware store and attach them to the wall stud.
