**UPDATE** So no work I've done worked and I'm returning it. I got lucky when the video feed to my phone lasted until the drone was about 30 feet away. The video often freezes before it even leaves the ground. The drone records video and saves photos to an SD card if you have one installed, and the quality isn't too bad if you fly it well enough that you can hold it steady for video recording. The battery life is not bad at all. It's still having trouble starting and doing its own thing, but as I mentioned, which damaged one of the blades. I'm returning that and getting DJI because I want the drone to take photos and aerial shots of the places we hike. So if she decides to work alone then $300 is a waste since I won.
