It doesn't work for me because the length doesn't cover more than one wall joist. I could hang a big board on the wall and attach this stand to it, but what's the point? If I still need to mount the board to the wall I can just add my own better placed and better fitting hooks, which I ended up doing. Unless you're mounting this on a concrete wall, I don't see the point. And even then, after receiving it and looking at it, I realized that while you can fit four hanging hooks on one rail, you can't hang four gardening tools side-by-side on a 24-inch rail because they're too big - rakes , shovels, brooms etc. Unfortunately I will be sending this shelf back and had to make my own.
