Great replacement for spindles that don't require tapped holes
These spindles replaced an old spindle that had lost threads. These new ones are about 1/4 inch longer, but they screwed into the old doorknobs without reaching the bottom. I only removed one star because the indentations on each of the four sides of the new spindle were shallower than the old one. Spindle, leaving less space for the set screw. However, they hold on. Using Loctite Blue Thread Locker should help hold the setscrew in place. Contrary to the other review, I don't think these new spindles are gross or coarse at all.
