Ideally this device should perform as it should and in most cases protect sensitive heels. In this case we had to apply this to 90% disabled 92 year old parents with dementia. No matter how hard we tried to secure it around his heel, it wouldn't stay. It always ended at the lower leg. I really wish the company would look at how they could improve this to stick with someone who can't control it to keep it going. I hope this is a safer but more convenient means of preventing the tread from slipping when the wearer is lying down. soft, comfortable and should help someone with heel sensitivity or heel skin if it persists. The design looks appropriate for those who sit like in a wheelchair. It doesn't look like it will stick with someone walking around a bit or laying down all the time.
