These are by far my favorite work boots I have ever owned. And maybe it's because I don't want to spend more than $200 on Ariat, but that's it. The lighter color is shoes that are 2 years old, the darker color is new. They were the same color when I bought them. The inserts in them are rubbish so I buy inserts from Timberland or Aetrex. I have flat feet so I need support. Otherwise, these boots are very comfortable to stand on and ride on. I usually work 8-14 hour shifts depending on the day and never have a problem. It's not the same as coming home, taking them off and being thankful for taking them off. There have been cases where the entire boot has been submerged in water almost above the tongue and the water has not seeped in. It was a year later. I bought my first pair from Payless or Shoe Carnival (can't remember) and the only reason I bought a new pair was because the backing (inside where the back of the heel rubs) was so worn, that it hurts put them on. The boots are okay though. I've been wearing them 5-6 days a week, 8-14 hours a day for 2 years with no reported problems. wear them Riding in them was a bit uncomfortable for about 2 weeks while wearing them in the back of the boot but now I have no issues. I should add that the isolation isn't too bad either. I've worked in temperatures ranging from 20F to 90F and have had no issues with the right socks.
