These work great! The light is much less annoying than a regular lantern you would carry. For camping, I hang them in the tent and use the remote to "turn on/off" the lights and it's almost like a room at home. Then, you can take them off and carry them around at night to the bathroom, etc. They lasted me *almost* 3 nights camping, but that was me trying to conserve the battery and being a little paranoid about it. On the third night, they gave out and I had to use a back-up lantern. That's my only wish - that the battery lasted longer.
