These are great for mini server cases where space is limited. My switches and routers were very close to the back of the server (pushed against the wall), but this allowed me to connect to the console without unplugging the device. I leave them enabled and can connect to the console in a few seconds. There is also a mounting plate at the RJ45 socket end.
