They claim these bulbs last 2000 hours - my first bulb lasted 816 hours. It was a 34 day 24 hour stay. The lamp matched my Whirlpool microwave perfectly and also reduced the power by half. I might have left it on full power for a while, but definitely not all. I hadn't had a light for a few days and decided I really needed this light to be able to better see what I was cooking and to work as a night light. So today I installed another lightbulb. When I'm not cooking I leave it on half power. Let's see how many hours this one lasts. The original lightbulb that came with this microwave oven lasted over 18 months with 24/7 use. I was very pleased to see that this first lightbulb was easy to install and could be used at both half and full wattage throughout its lifetime. I've read a number of reviews that say other bulbs don't dim at all. If all three of these bulbs only last about a month, that's a replacement cost of $27.52. Not a very good value. I'll let you know when the second bulb burns out and see if running it at half power extends the life to 2000 hours as promised.
