Make sure you REALLY need it

So I bought it for my travels in Indonesia, Myanmar, India and Nepal. And I have NEVER used it. In the end I just took out the lock and chain and threw away the net. I ended up using a lock and chain and it was PERFECT and more than enough to hold back the few times I've used it. This whole network device is a bulky and heavy pain in the ass. It is too complicated, time-consuming and cumbersome to use. Only a small number of people will really need it. Locks and chains and just looking after…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Great safety net! - Luggage and gear

The 55L backpack is perfect for my Nelson Rigg 20L motorcycle backpack, I can almost pull it down. I think it will work great on a bike, haven't tried it yet but have it ready for a long trip across the US but I'm sure it will deter potential thieves. It's a little difficult to get back into the carry case, but it could get better with getting in and out; It's a bit weird putting it back together, but then again I'm sure it'll get better with time. Even though some people complain about the…

Pros
  • High test results for support and durability

  • There are flaws

Ideal for sports bike enthusiasts. NECESSARY.

Maybe intended for backpackers but a MUST for sportbike riders. Cut resistant as braided steel cable is similar to garage door cable. Neither scissors nor metal scissors nor side cutters fit through. I mean bolt cutters, of course, but when they need your stuff that bad. 3) It holds "all" of your gear. In the picture you can see my helmet, backpack, jacket, trousers, boots and gloves. Being able to carry gear and not looking like I'm ready for a city storm makes the bike more casual for the…

Pros
  • Not just useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Another layer of protection

It's just a deterrent when you're really in the mood, but it certainly adds security to a normal hit and grab. I work in law enforcement and have found that only on rare occasions or maybe a 'professional' thief has the tools to get this out of your car. I drive stretch-cab trucks on and off duty and carry a backpack of sorts with me almost all the time, and I find it handy to ensure that the usual "crack/meth head" doesn't have easy access. to. The holes in the mesh are 4" x 4" in my opinion…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Requires a power outlet

People complain about their hands getting through holes, yes they do. While this will protect large items like laptops, smaller items will need a box or similar. I have a separate padlock to use. Usually there is not a single security patch. If they wanted smaller holes, they could also double the weight and price. Most security systems aren't 100% reliable, but they should stop all but the most determined opportunists, but won't stop professionals with specialized tools. When you encounter…

  • Quality workmanship

saved my bag from being stolen

I often leave my bag in my truck. Before heading back to the "big city" I didn't think much about securing my bag or anything else I left inside until I forgot to lock the doors. I quickly learned my lesson. the door lock on my truck had been torn out and shortly after moving into the city it was empty. Shortly thereafter I bought a 55 liter sack which kept my bag in the truck after two attempts to steal it. Some lessons learned: Tighten the bag as tightly as possible. If you leave it loose…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

It's hard to imagine that this net can hold 55 liter water bottles, which is the advertised capacity. I think in real life it should fit about 25 liters or the size of a large backpack. Trying to post more here would be a problem. The steel mesh has a bit of a memory issue, which in a way is great for putting this item back in the included holdall. The bad news is you're now having trouble opening this thing so you can put your backpack (or just a cloth tote bag in my case) inside. But once…

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Sad Hardware

I'm planning to do a month long motorcycle trip at the end of April and thought I could use the device to secure a 50 liter dry bag when the bike is out of place (when I'm going to the grocery store, going to the toilet, etc.). However, after receiving the product, I decided to return it and look for an alternative. PacSafe Protector can prevent someone getting away with your carry-on or backpack in a public place. But I wouldn't trust him"close and go". As other reviewers point out, the holes…
