Review on Samsung T5 Portable SSD MU PA500B by Michal Kucharski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

At work, I wanted to create an external system drive. The Win7x64 and Win8x64 bootloaders cannot see or load the BIOS in the MBR or the UEFI in the GPT. I copied the Win7x64 and Win8x64 installation packages to the SSD using Acronis (different versions) and it does not recognize the bootloader; instead, it begins to load (unpack) and freezes. I researched all the forums and migration advice (Paragon. Nothing worked, even after formatting the SSD in various NTFS and EXT3 file systems (OS programs, etc.) for external USB 3.0 booting. Lack of support for USB 3.0 at the BIOS and UEFI level (pre-installed drivers in Win7x64 and Win8x64) is the issue. Additionally, using USB 2.0 for operation is absurd. passed after suffering for 12 days.

Pros
  • The system unit GB-BX3iH-5010 has 4 USB3.0 connectors connected to it. It is ideal for use as an external drive because it is quick, light, strong, doesn't heat up, and has the stated features.
Cons
  • The creation of an external system disk is not possible. Win7x64 and Win8x64's GPT bootloaders and UEFI neither notice it nor recognize it when starting up via external USB 3.0,
