We changed all the hardware in our new home and replaced the old gold builder grade stuff. With everything DIY upgrade you need to be a bit handy. Simple youtube video or a basic google search can help ease your stress!These matched more closely the Walmart Basics handles we purchased and we have two doors (garage back door and mud room door) that needed to be the same key. The deadbolt and handle needed to be completely taken apart to sit properly and lock in the same way everything else locks (up and down not sideways) - no problem for me as i’ve learned to be handy. If your not handy you may need some help. Plus keep in mind doors are crooked and need adjusted, walls are not flat, smooth or level no matter how new your home is.Over all I love these! And worth the work!
