It fits easily into my 2021 Crosstrek Sport's threaded countersunk tow hook mount. The threads are rough and it is so loose that when fully inserted it dangles about +- 1/4" from side to side. Since the Crosstrek hitch mount threads are countersunk it is necessary to remove the large fender washer on the MG To mount tow hook shaft BEFORE the lock nut so it tightens onto the disc and doesn't get stuck in the recess Given the poor fit I wouldn't trust the MG tow hook for its intended purpose but as I only use it to tie down a kayak, it will suffice until I replace it with a better one.
