I first tried this product because I was tired of pulling out my blow dryer for a deep conditioner. It was a great alternative at an affordable price. The instructions state that the heat should last no more than 85 seconds and the heat should be maintained for up to 30 minutes. I did this and found that it didn't take more than 10 minutes and wasn't warm enough for my liking. I microwaved it again for 2 minutes and this time it was definitely warmer and steamier and it took maybe 15-20 minutes. Overall I would definitely recommend this product just for the design alone and without the hassle of standing and getting stuck under the dryer. However, if you usually dry your hair for longer than 15 minutes (I like 45 minutes in the hair dryer), be prepared to pop the cap back into the microwave a few times!
